POSITION #1

At a minimum 3 years, but preferred 5-7 years project management experience within the Electric Industry, Construction Management or Heavy Commercial Construction Industry. Electric Transmission and Substation management experience is preferred. Looking for experience at well-known companies. Education: at a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a well-known university. A great deal of long-term responsibility will be assigned, so looking for someone who can commit to a 2 year assignment. Prefer someone eager and upwardly mobile with something to gain/prove. Must have a leadership presence.

Project Management position will manage multiple construction projects from conceptual stage through completion and closeout on the distribution system ($250K up to $10 mil in budgets is typical). The distribution system projects may include new, rebuild and reconductor both overhead and underground distribution lines and associated equipment. A few distribution projects may include scope within the substation projects primarily involve interconnection to the substation.
Two most important attributes:
1) MUST have Project Management Experience in Electric Industry, Construction Management, and/or Heavy Construction industry
2) It is strongly preferred that the candidates have some Technical Utility (Transmission, Substation and/or Distribution) experience



 
POSITION #2
o Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 10 years’ experience with construction management in the electric power industry. Individual shall have demonstrated skill in construction project management. High level of knowledge about transmission rebuild and substation installation.
o Some duties include: Manage site safety including performance of safety audits, Provide constructability feedback during design and walk down, Provide scheduling input, Review/Manage Scope Change requests, Assist with managing material availability, Manage adherence to CLIENT’S prints, standards. Requirements: At least 10 years of construction manager experience, Experience with Word and Excel, Knowledge of OSHA safety policies (helpful), Knowledge of safety policies, Electrical utility experience (highly desired).”
